DFFOO GL (Challenge from Alexander CHAOS) Aphmau, Sazh, Raijin
Shiva, General Leo EX+3LB friend
Note: All 3 characters are EX+3LB. Sazh has his character boards and spheres. Aphmau has 3x Royal Puppeteer Boost ** artifacts and her bloom passive.
Raijin has finally gotten some decent upgrades that make him viable for CHAOS fights. His rework is quite solid as he hits pretty hard with his skills (Fist+ is a good skill for summon boards farming).
General notes on his gameplay style
- Use Raijin Special to maintain his Thunder Mode (you will see bolts of electricity surrounding his board)
- His EX gives him his Thunderpearl stacks. At 3 stacks, his HP command will become Lightning Discharge which is an AOE guaranteed paralysis attack. The stacks can be build up by using his abilities and BRV+. Use them strategically. His Thunderpearl has Thunder enchant and 20% HP regen for the party. Do remember to upkeep it.
- He is ultra-slow although his speed tier is B in the DB. His Fist gives PHY Attack up and has a turn rate. Use it when you need to gain turns for him and build up his stacks.
I have used Shiva summon for the fight as Alexander is too fast for Raijin. Sazh and Aphmau have decent HP attacks and they have the ability to shave more than 99999 BRV. Aphmau is her follow-up Puppet HP+/BRV+ and instant turn to use a skill. Sazh has his Cold Blood EX. Raijin's EX can deal out some decent shaving but it is not enough to break the 99999 BRV barrier so he needs to be supported by Sazh and Aphmau. Make use of his Lightning Discharge to buy turns for building your EX gauge for Alexander's 3 barrier phase. Try to save Leo friend and the summon when dealing with the triple barrier phase when the boss is below 50% and 25% threshold.
