9I threw all of my tickets, no Laguna FR. Somehow I got Rinoa BT from that 1 free pull from campaign, so may as well lol.
Rinoa still behaves like her old self. The biggest changes are HP hit counts and BT effects. It is still pretty braindead easy to use her.
Her BT effect now has 10% more team HP dmg cap up. The big change is that her Ultima (HP+) are now dealing 100% full AOE dmg and when she is dropping those nukes, she also gets 40% more HP dmg cap up for that attack specifically.
Taking advantage of her FE50 (20%+ HP dmg cap above 50% FG), you should be getting around 70% more dmg when you start spamming Ultima. Also due to FE 50, her FG charging capabilities have increased drastically.
Her FR hit counts have also been increased to 5, which is quite nice for AOE FRs. Because of the extra 40% from Ultima though, you still want to spam all those instead of using the echo in BT.
As Ultima is an transformed HP+ attack, you can consider using Ursula/Queen to dramatically boost her dmg potential. She can also get to 400K per dump easily with just Enna Kros + 1 other BT user due to her extra cap up for Utlima without needing 50% cap up from Enna Kros FR. Though if you want to push it to 500K, you will have to throw in maybe even Deuce's BT buff, and crystal/summon passives.
Suffice to say I had tried her on Shantotto IW's stage (3 targets), but they are just too squishy to handle those magical explosions. So I have decided not to make Totto Annihilation V even though mechanically that was the perfect place to drop those nukes. Maybe next time when Jesse LC comes back.
If there are no extra ticket resources, then maybe I will wait for the rerun of Laguna's FR. Sad, but I am a bit reluctant to pity a FR right now. I am still grateful of getting Rinoa BT for free though. More FFVIII for me.
Also I am really liking Fujin in the party now. The battery from weakness, convenient launches (also BRV refund if you use her FR) and delays from certain moves are making things much less cumbersome to set up.
