While I enjoy exploring mechanical interactions more, occasionally it is fun to watch some of the favourites become a sight to behold.

It was between this and a Keiss/Garland/Aranea (FR) video, though in the end I thought the Aranea FR one is just an exploitation of Garland's off-turn delays with Keiss's second launch for an extra 40% with Aranea FR. FR these days are not hard to get to 800-999% before starting BTs anyways, and needing the 3 of them is quite rigid in team compo as well, so I went with this for more pleasure to be had.

Once again, this run is not perfect as modern day bosses don't have enough HP to fully display the might of 140% Garland, so his actual dmg potential is higher.

If you want to skip ahead, here are the time stamps:
00:00 Battle Starts
05:10 Xezat friend enters the fight
06:15 Xezat FR
11:43 Garland BT

This idea has been done before with Yda. Even though I haven't done this one with other options, there are quite a few variations you can do now with more characters that provide additional HP dmg support. Also, there are some miscellaneous musings that I haven't thought about last time.

Yda and Garland both have really high personal caps, so both of them can get to 400K+ easily under normal circumstances. With Enna, they can get to 500K without issues.

Just a quick breakdown on the elements:
Rydia CA: water (buff)
Kurasame LDCA: Ice (call aura)
Enna Kros BT: Light/Dark
Alisaie LDCA: Fire/Thunder/Wind/Earth
That's how Garland have all 8 elements on him. Xezat BT provides 5% additional HP dmg per element, so that's 40%.

Potential Variations:
There are actually several new combos you can do with Xezat's Shenanigans now in place of Enna:
Hope: 12% (6 buffs), 55% (40+15) cap up
Arciela: 16% (8 debuffs), 45% (30+15) cap up
Weiss: 10% (when cap dmg), 30% cap up
Papalymo: 10% (as golden debuff), 30% cap up, enchant fire/ice

Hope is probably the easiest to work with, since his BT duration does not go down and can ensure capped HP dmg when you have 6 buffs. He also has the highest cap up among them all. Even in this run, there are occasions where Garland's follow-up does not cap due to a permanent 100% HP dmg down force effect of the stage and a further penalty when they have their recovery aura up.
This way, Garland would lose a bit of cap up and 2 elements without Enna, but you can get a 42% additional dmg (30+12) bonus.

I am using Enna over Hope this time because this stage needs melee attacks for the orb.

Arciela works too, especially with Garland delaying enemies and preserving debuffs. With some of the others though, her BT duration and debuff requirement can be an issue.

Theroetically....
You can do a 50% additional dmg setup if you have Papalymo friend with Enna + Xezat as primary party members. The 10% from the debuff is a lingering effect, that's 10% on top of the 40. That being said, you would have to find ways using Pandemonium to launch a target.

Additional HP dmg vs RE-Shinryu boss healing
Last time when I did this for Yda, it was not on a RE-Shinryu stage, so it was not a thing that came to my mind. This time when I tried to preserve the boss for as long as possible, it kind of fell apart because the boss's 80% HP recovery state recovered FAR less than Garland's dmg output.

The thing is, these recovery thresholds only heal the "normal" HP dmg dealt. Additional HP dmg bypasses these HP recovery mechanisms in RE-Shinryu. This is not an extremely relevant way of dealing dmg when you have additional dmg in small doses like 10 or 12%, but when you have 40% with a high cap dmg dealer, it is very possible to brute force a kill without caring about the healing thresholds, since effectively 60% (100-80+40) of the dmg still strikes through.

As a result, the boss died really quickly and we didn't even get to see the full dmg of a 140% Garland's S2. That is the real tragedy.
