13Just a short clip of examining Brv cap up with the use of Garland's follow-up attack, which under normal circumstances would never hit the HP damage cap with its low hit count and no refund.
I have attempted to buff his follow-up damage with Sazh CA or Cait Sith CA before when examining the effects of those LDs, which yielded decent result. This time however, there is no Cait Sith CA, just raw Brv Dmg Cap up with Sazh CA, and here he is capping HP damage cap with those lonely 2 BRV hits.
C88: self (Noel) or party-wide (Onion Knight) BRV cap increase
With the introduction of C88, characters are granted some significant temporary buffs. While Noel gives himself 40% BRV cap up, OK gives every one on the party 20% BRV cap up. This effect is exceptionally significant to this party, as all members are almost strictly relying on BRV hits with no refund barring some moves like Garland EX. Operating like this means they have to get as much BRV from those hits as possible, that's why BRV cap up with gear, C88, BT effects have a great effect on these units.
Sazh LD effect - a promising future
As discussed before, Sazh call makes it so that each BRV hits of yours garner extra BRV (beyond your BRV dmg cap if you are already at cap). That means naturally the bigger numbers you hit, the more you get from one single hit. With units like Garland who have limited hits that rarely is enough to fuel his HP damage dump, a big BRV cap is crucial for his damage.
Since c88 introduce this benefit in the form of self or party wide cap increase, there will be even more characters with access to this mechanic in the future, meaning you can get even more use and value out of Sazh's LD call, if not Sazh in the party.
Onion Knight: His LD value with C88
OK has become an even stronger party buffer. On top of his C88 party-wide effect and longer ice enchantment duration, he also get party wide BRV and HP damage up on his LD buff.
Ever since Lufenia starts to be a thing, characters tend to have less and less issues with their skill uses. We typically don't run out easily, barring some characters. C65 used to be quite underwhelming, but now with C88 and its limited use, it may be enticing to get OK to use his LD for a free use on each character's C88, seeing people have less use of it on normal S1 and S2 nowadays. Effectively you can make him a C88 free skill bot besides his other benefits as well.
Also his C88 (type, as I expect there will be characters with similar features later) can be used as a poor man's option for closing the gap between characters that are fully geared or not, seeing so many of mine are at HA only with lower BRV cap.
