[DFFOO JP][Queen LC Lufenia+]Just instant EX recharge and keep dodging ft. Caius, Ashe and Kimahri
The boss has like no HP so a typical human being would just use Lann and Reynn and blow them up, but why not have a bit of fun and try some odd odd character combo?
The only problem is bluestacks. It keeps slowing down whenever the menu pops up some apologies, not too sure if it is just this stage or my pc's problem. Tried turning on and off energy setting and restart pc to no avail, so here this is.
i did not do this Queen's event lufenia since I haven't started playing JP back then and GL hasn't reached this point yet. From what I understand though, this boss hits exceptionally hard with their recast. Not sure how it is back then, but the orb this time around is survivable with a tight 10 count.
Orb: (limit 10) +3 when dodging attacks
Reduction: 70/70
My original plan was to use Prompto and dodge most of the ST attacks, but then the others still need healing or mitigation, then it occurred to me: Why not dodge as a team?
So here is Kimahri with his true blind. All of the boss's moves are dodgeable, so his true blind works flawlessly. The next issue would be how to maintain his EX and turn order. At first I tried Selphie, but it was kinda messy when the delays and the recast still wasn't fast enough and orbs were at the brink of going off with Selphie taking a lot of turns to buff.
So here comes Ashe.
Instant recharge EX characters:
Both Ashe and Kimahri have instant EX recharge mechanics. After Kimahri's LD, his transformed HP attack (Jump++) grants instant turn rate and charges his EX to full. Ashe's LD transforms her HP attack into a turn manipulation move and charges everyone's Ex. So you can alternate their LD uses, or use their LD first to store a transformed HP use as backup then decide which one to use first, mostly dedicated by whether Kimahri's turn is before the next ABC on the turn order.
Turn manipulation:
If ones of the boss is a bit off from the bunch, you can use Ashe's EX to paralyze that one target. Do beware that said target cannot attack, thus the orb would not uptick.
Caius is another failsafe. Use Inferno to delay that one target, or if both Ashe and Kimahri are not ready, he can Giga-Graviton, rebreak and push all targets at once.
If all things fail, there is still Quistis CA to delay one target, or all.
Damage Support:
Since the reduction is not that severe, Ashe and Kimahri together are sufficient to boost the team's damage. Ashe enchants thunder and holy, and both of them have 30% BRV dmg Up (from Ashe's weakness damage) and 20% HP dmg Up, so overall their support is solid. Cait Sith normal CA is also used for some additional stat buffs and regen.
Overall, once they get low enough, Caius w/Cid Raines CA will blow them up really fast with launches. The breaks will "BRV refund" Ashe and Kimahri for the next launch. On hindsight, maybe I should have gone with Bahamut instead of Brothers, but mBRV of the team was a bit low so I went with Brothers.
I was hoping for a Cid EX finish, but they died when the follow-up happened. At least that was some spectacular fireworks I guess lol.
Oddly low HP lufenia+ even by a 3 boss standard. Fun to try out some odd strat nonetheless.
I actually got Cater LD, but I don't have her EX. As much as I like that 3 turn frame freeze I am not sure if I should EX token her lol.
