[DFFOO JP][Arc 3 Ch 6 Pt2 Lufenia+]No Leila Edition: Countermeasure team w Caius, Prompto, Ursula
TBF EMP's individual attacks are not extremely lethal, even the orb attack itself is not very dangerous. What's dangerous are the instant turns + delays into more delays. So this team was born to counter the instant turns. It is not exactly the most damage optimized team, since it is mostly depending on Ursula's debuffs and buffs or Caius's BT. However, it is quite save if you have no Ursula.
How the teams counters the instant turns?
The main idea is that Caius's Doom debuff now (after his BT+ debut) breaks the boss whenever he/she/it takes a turn. When EMP does his instant turn mechanic and bring his other turns with him, including a Meteor recast that AoE the others and delay them, Prompto as the dodger would stay at the top of the queue directly after EMP's turns since he is not delayed. When EMP finishes his first turn, he would be broken by Doom and pushed back a turn for Prompto to move forward. When that happens, since Ursula herself has a turn shenanigan that states whenever an enemy is followed by an ally's turn, she would move directly in between them, she would jump in front of Prompto and further break Emp's consecutive turn cycle. It is adamant that Prompto has his evasion buff and dodge the attack, otherwise there would be no ally turns and there would be no Ursula turn jump.
Caius CA and LDCA should be quite good for this idea as well since he inflicts Doom when he enters the field. Caius without BT should work as well.
Caius with BT however does allow break bonus launch combo with Cid Raines LDCA inside the BT. It also can utilize the vacuum period during which Emp has no orb between 50%-79% so you can delay as much as you want with rebreaks to make the most out of your CA debuffs before they wear off and you eventually let him have a turn.
The counter is a combination of all 3 characters, but you can freely replace Prompto with any other dodger. He is just really good to have for the extra follow-up off-turn damage and HP regen. He is a relatively more party-oriented dodger than the other recent ones such as Shadow and Cater, who offers barely any aura or damage boosts. So I chose him to pair up with Ursula instead.
Unfortunately I forgot to bring him the ultima weapon, else this run should be able to go sub-20. Should be the last video if I don't suddenly have another idea lol.
