[DFFOO JP]Ignis Stall + Shuuto (LD only) Stall + Kain w CoD friend denies boss turns
Lmao Tidus is LD only at HA+0 and he is still destroying the boss at 70/90 reduction. Can't wait for his BT when I have 50 tokens. First time playing him though so don't @ me for certain Tidus loops and stalling.
Since I have no Ceodore, I will drag his BT partner in crime out for a run. While Tidus want active turns, he rather others have turns, so he is a perfect match with Ignis and Tidus.
I guess Ignis enchant + elemental weakness up + Ifrit blessing + Fran's range imperil gets the job done. Tidus's follow-up is ranged while his normal skills are melee, so he also takes advantage of the Fran debuff. He obviously helps with the orb as well, but since Kain is doing his aerial follow-up non-stop it is really not really something to worry about.
LD only Tidus is still mad powerful. Consecutive turns builds up damage and Jecht shot becoming 3 HP dumps definitely give him a huge boost without a need of rework. The rebreak also keeps the boss away after CoD's help with initial delay.
Since he can loop for quite a while and build up Jecht shot on the way, there are many ways you can play with him and alter his longevity. While he may run out of steam much faster than a Tidus with BT, I would say overall he is still a very viable DPS in Lufenia+ with LD only with rebreaking and some debuffs on the side. He may need some BRV cap up to reach max damage but overall he is good on his own.
Tidus + Ignis + Kain
Tidus + Ignis are both turn rate characters on top of having consecutive turn shenanigans. In addition to that Ignis Ex can move Tidus forward and left Kain untouched, which means Ignis + slow Kain with speed passives removed is also viable. You can move him up when he is on the ground to build stacks or leave him behind for maximum aerial time with his EX.
Since Kain's BRV is not depleted and builds up overtime (or you can battery him with Ignis before he goes up), Ignis EX is also almost guaranteed max damage when using Kain's share. (Ignis has 50% HP dmg up built-in on EX, 20% on his own buffs and 10% on Sage fire debuff). Also Ignis can spam skills to get the EX recharged again during consecutive turns, so if you so choose to it is also a viable strat to get multiple EX off for both damage and moving Tidus forward again.
There are many styles and customization options for this team. Removing speed passives, skill spam etc. The idea is still the same when you sub in other consecutive turn characters like Lightning, Vayne, Papalymo instead of Tidus. If the orb allows it, it is really not a bad idea to use Ignis stall. The same can be used in Divine Shiva as well, since Ignis fire enchant Kain and he will keep the orb alive in the air (though he still gets frozen and does not do his follow-up after Diamond Dust), so Kain can kind of compensate for the fact that Ignis may cause a net orb count loss when he is switching stance.
Finally Kain carrying an strong CA like Sazh LDCA in the air + 2 character stalling means the short duration of said CA will be extended for a much longer time. So it is really good to have Kain be the carrier.
