[DFFOO JP][Ceodore BT Lufenia+]A sloooower run with 3 assists LD characters Ignis, Vanille, Ashe
9May be I am just that weird, but I tried putting 3 assist characters together and see if I can get away with it. This lufenia+ is very lenient on turn count, so they made it with no BT character in the team.
Admittedly though, Vanille + Ignis is really good for this one. Ignis can stop the HP dmg down debuff and Vanille just destroy their buffs with no effort. Not to mention that Vanille's EX puts a trap and destroy their buffs right after they put it on during the thresholds, saving my time and effort to do it in the next turn. Another great thing is since Vanille's attacks are all AoE based, including the off-turn trap, that would mean she alone can keep the orb alive with so much ease that Ignis can switch stance freely to papa bird for more attacks.
Besides, they are both turn rate characters. Ignis spamming HP++ and Vanille using skills do push them forward in the turn order a lot, so even if the boss delays the party, there is relatively more room for manipulation and salvation.
The two major shortcomings for this team. Vanille is EX recharge is very sensitive. Sometimes if Ignis prematurely pull her to the front, her EX recharge tends to be off just a little bit. Another thing is the whole team has no actual DPS. Most of the damage comes from Ignis Ex/HP++ spam and Vanille's EX + trap. It is odd that they actually pulled through relatively safely.
Vanille EX trap also provide an opportunity to sub her out for a BT character to push one of the bosses' HP thresholds without having to worry about the buff. Once one of them is down and the other one is 30% or below, Ignis can go to papa bird stance full force and spam away.
Not the most amazing run by any means, but it does showcase Ignis in papa bird stance more. If you have time it is worth a watch, maybe just to see how lenient this fight is lol.
I tried Cid here but his damage and orb management just isn't very good with his wind attacks and such. Shame that he could have been the perfect ping pong ball between Ignis and Ashe for this fight.
