Didaktik M: Part 5 - Loading a game
Still undecided about the keyboard. It's better than most ZX Spectrum clones, but not as good as the best of them.
Anyway, turns out the magnetophone aka cassette interface is reversed to the last Speccy clone I worked on ... input to the machine is on pin 3 and not pin 1.
So I made up a new dual lead 5-pin DIN with a 3.5mm mono plug on pin 1 and one on pin 3 ... covered for everything now.
Tested my usual Vradark's Sphere on the machine - worked perfectly fine as far as I could see, apart from a key occasionally sticking (you need to press them dead-centre, not slightly off).
However note the square 1:1 aspect ratio used by this machine instead of the usual 4:3.
I'm pretty much finished with this machine - I could look at creating a joystick interface for it ... and I'm still unsure about the +22VDC output from the PSU. Other websites have listed this as the output voltage ... not +12VDC ... so ... weird ...
