No rant this time, just umming/ahhing about this modification to this ZX Spectrum clone.

I decided to follow the pinout of an RGBS cable I'd already made up for another Speccy clone machine. Then it was just a matter of soldering in a 74LS244 buffer between it and the originating signals.

And it works! From the information below this appears to be what is done in the 1991 model of this machine (this is a 1990 model).

Next up ... putting it back into its case and loading a game to check out the square 1:1 screen proportions.
