Dirt Dash Arcade (T.T. Mode)
64To unlock T.T. Mode : Hold the brake pedal, accelerator pedal and view button, then insert coin. If the game is set to Free Play, press on the accelerator pedal last.
Front View: Press the View button 6 times at any time during the race. The HUD is also hidden (time left, section times, map, .etc).
When the game starts, you select a vehicle, each with different handling. The race is not lap-based: instead you drive from a starting line toward a finish line, with checkpoints spread across the course that add more time when you pass through them. If your timer runs out before reaching the next checkpoint, the run ends.
The courses are dirt and gravel tracks with varied settings like forests, snowy roads, and mountain paths.
The terrain includes sharp turns, bumps, and slopes that force you to manage sliding and drifting. The car reacts with exaggerated skids when taking corners, giving the game a distinct off-road arcade feel.
The driving is fast and loose, emphasizing speed and aggressive cornering rather than realism. Crashing into walls slows you down a bit but doesn’t end the race. The whole experience is about surviving the terrain and keeping pace with the timer until you reach the finish line.
