The player controls a skater racing down a vertically scrolling track. Movement is managed through an eight-way joystick, which allows steering to the left or right as well as forward motion to accelerate. Two buttons supplement the controls: one for jumping over obstacles and one for delivering a sharp elbow strike to opponents. The constant forward push of the screen forces the player to maintain momentum, creating tension between speed and control.

The courses are filled with hazards. Ramps must be timed precisely to avoid falls, barriers appear that require quick dodging or a well-timed jump, and moving obstacles demand fast reflexes. Rival skaters share the track, often blocking the player’s path or attempting to knock them down. To survive, the player can use the elbow attack to strike competitors and clear space. Contact without striking typically destabilizes the player, resulting in a loss of speed or a crash.

Progression is organized into stages that increase in complexity as the game advances. Early tracks present manageable ramps and moderate opposition, while later sections crowd the screen with faster, more aggressive rivals and more punishing hazards. Scoring is based on distance traveled, successful attacks against opponents, and survival through increasingly treacherous sections. Failure to maintain momentum, or crashing too often, eventually results in the loss of a life and ultimately the end of the run.

The arcade cabinet supported two players, alternating turns rather than simultaneous competition.
