[DMC 5] Exploder's animation interruption and side effect
This feels like something that would've been found early, but I haven't seen it yet (not that I've searched it up anyway). In case it is known already... welp, I want to post this anyway.
A brief note, Exploder is Overture's skill. It implants a timed bomb that can be manually detonated with certain attacks.
Some of those certain attacks can interrupt the animation of embedding the arm. Some, as shown with Pasta Breaker's skill, do not; It simply detonates the bomb after the embedding animation completes.
In some cases, it can even induce a "delayed" reaction by the target. I call it delayed because it looks as though the enemy took some time to realise what just occurred, floating in slow motion until reality snaps back.
As seen with Color Up, the bomb needs to exist at the last tick of the multishot lest it just detonates early. This may also be true with the end part of Pasta Mix, but I haven't bothered to time that.
01:21 onward is just a short compilation of enemies that can be affected by this phenomenon. In case of the bulkier enemies, they may need to be staggered first. Some may just be outright immune.
Might be useful in some weird combo setup.
