[Nioh 2 Open Beta] Undetectable player bug, an observation
I have no idea how it happened, but it happened twice. Seems like an online thing. Both of these time I was the only player summoned. Whatever it is, enemies became unable to detect neither players nor friendly NPC summons.
It may or may not be a coincidence that for both occurrences, that I realise something was off when the host and I were in the dark realm with the Magatsu Warrior (4-armed sword dude) as the "progenitor" Yokai.
I couldn't reproduce it on my own while playing solo. But I recorded these to observe some stuff, mostly enemy behaviour, and in no particular order:
1) Pretty much all enemies are non-hostile with the exception of Nurikabe (wall dude) and a Yokai form revenant (hostile NPC dude), for these two cases at least.
2) Enemies don't get spooked by proximity or players' actions. Although they will perform a wake-up or retaliation move, but otherwise non-hostile.
3) Enemies remain in whatever state and its associated animation that they're spawned in, until a state change occur (such as horn break), where they go into another idle animation while remaining oblivious.
4) The enemies that were supposed to poof out from the Yokai cloud thingy, wouldn't.
5) Purifying the dark realm does not alert remaining enemies to players' existence.
6) Bosses are active for a short while, then become potatoes. The second boss in the video (at the end) has no BGM for some reason.
7) Not in video, praying at shrines do not stop the bug.
8) There is one instance where the dark realm gets purified while the main Yokai, a Magatsu Warrior, is still alive.
9) There is one instance where an enemy constantly loops his backhand swing after I shot an arrow at him.
For all I know this is some obscure equipment bonus or whatever, but something about enemies teleporting around when they shouldn't, tells me this might not be normal.
