Does Mega Man Have a Star Trek Problem? What Are The Best In The Series?
One of the greatest video game series of all-time had to be Mega Man. His adventures were always consistently fun, evolved from one game to the next, and for the most part were good. However, does Mega Man Have a Star Trek Problem? What do I mean? Let's take a closer look at Mega Man (or Rock Man) and if there's a pattern as to What Are The Best games In The Series?
in the world of Star Trek, it's widely accepted that the odd number movies are not as good as the even number movies. so for example, Star Trek The Motion Picture, Star Trek The Search for Spock, Star Trek The Final Frontier, and Star Trek Generations are thought to be the less entertaining entries in the series. and by and large, except for Star Trek 3, I agree with this. Star Trek 2, 4, 6, and 8 all tend to be The more financially successful and more loved entries into the series.
Does Mega Man have a similar sort of pattern? For many people, they like one but they don't love it, two and three are seem to be fairly similar, but five is not as loved as earlier versions. is there a parallel or some consistency to these games and how they are received by the public?
by and large, I think the even odd comparison kind of fits here. while one established the series, just like Star Trek the motion picture, it's not as beloved as two. Three is pretty good, similar to how I think Star Trek the Search for Spock is pretty good, but it's not as beloved as number two. We don't have any whales to rescue like in Star Trek 4 in Mega Man 4, but I think five is widely perceived to be a superior game. We don't talk about Star Trek 5, as it so bad we don't even acknowledge it
What do you attribute this to? Do you agree that this is the case? I think it's an interesting way to look at the series and analyze how it has performed. Let me know what you think of this theory down in the comments.
