Doom Classic video #28
(3.7.1994)

(Links, secrets and more information at the bottom of the description)

Hello. This one starts the wads from July '94, author being James Wilson (aka Shade).
Demonic and zombified masses rioting against increased popcorn prices, which is why we're going berserk to subdue these masses in the theatre.

• So far, most likely the highest monster count from these old wads and the majority of them are the weaker kind... meaning hitscanners and imps. With hitscanners, difficulty might vary a bit, but you're given a lot of health in few spots, so you should be just fine.
Also very plentiful ammo and more than enough firepower in form of weaponry can be found here.
• Theme is set to theatre and it certainly seems like one: Multiple 'movies' can be seen in different rooms, you have small rooms to project the movie from, reception, toilets and what else have you in most cinemas. So, location checks out.
• Apparently this level was supposed to be bigger than it ended up being, but due to complications during mapping, it was left to the current size. It's not a particularly big level, despite the monster count, but it looks alright. Some thought went to the lighting as well, but with the old wads you often think, how much better it could've been, if there were no limitations with mapping with tools that were available back then.

You don't really run into any major problems in this level... only the secret trigger at the start and a missing texture at the entrance of the white crusher room with key.
I found the damaging floor around Blue Key odd, but then again, finding crushers in a movie theatre is odd as well, so there's that.
Also invisible barrier to form the trap in one of the movie rooms on the right branch, but I suppose it was intended to be like that (?)
Could be just the case of artistic freedom with most of those cases anyways.

Anyways, give it a whirl. It should satisfy the average needs of a Doomguy at least!
