Hello. Another PC Zone lvl finalist map and this one definitely wasn't good enough to be a finalist map. It's not even finished to be exact. Way too many broken things in it, including exit.
We're looking at a map from R. W. Brown here.
I have to add, that I had some insane luck here with specific rare spawns. I was told that chance to get RL-zombie (zombieman variant) was 5%, but I counted this map's zombiemen and roughly my chance to get Rl-zombies was a whopping 12.5%. (81 zombiemen total, 10 of them were RL-zombies)
Another case was with skulls. 5 skulls, 4 of them were rare spawns (80%). Actual spawn-chance is every ~33%.
• Visually, not the worst at times. At least there's variety and some effort gone to this, but nothing too great either. Good ideas here and there peeking through '94 style, like marble steps near the end... Although missing texture pops out there as well.
• Difficulty is on the easy side. Nothing really gets you on vanilla. Hard Doom naturally ups the difficulty, but it's still easy enough.
• And difficulty is further reduced by general amount of Hp and armor given. Plenty of ammo given too.
So, bad stuff next
• Firstly, no working exit? We reach the end and nothing can be used.
• Multiple spots to get stuck on:
If you leave raising platform in Red room, you're stuck.
If you don't press button before entering red room platform
If you leave raising short blue platform.
If you take 14th secret (enter teleport 2nd time), you're stuck.
If you enter tele to Mastermind-area (because it's supposed to have an exit)
If you stay in exit room, when wall closes
• Required to find secrets to progress
• Missing textures
• 'Idclip' required for 15th secret
In short, can't really recommend this one. You could play once to see it yourself, but yeah. You don't even reach the stats-screen.
