Doom 64: Retribution - Absolution Levels - ABS02: Crisis (Watch Me Die!, 100%)
8Now THIS is what I call a Tech Base level! This has to be by far my favorite map in this entire pack. Loads of enemies to kill, a good amount of secrets to find without going overboard with them, and a Demon Artifact AND Unmaker to add to your collection!
Unfortunately, this is the only level in the pack where there is a Demon Artifact to collect, so the Unmaker cannot be powered up any further than this.
SECRETS:
Secret #1 -- 1:26
Head up the left set of stairs here and use the blinking blue panel to lower the bit of wall where the Unmaker is being held.
Secret #2 -- 1:51
Head down the stairs, do away with those pesky Lost Souls and head into the alcove they came out of that contains a Box of Bullets; this back wall can be lowered, and doing so will reward you with the Chainsaw! Note that this wall does not have any obvious signs that it is usable, so if you are attempting to Secret-hunt on your own, this is the one you're quite likely to spend some time trying to find!
Secret #3 -- 6:01
Shoot the static-ridden computer panel in the distance to lower a section of wall to your right in between two computer screens, revealing your first Plasma Gun!
Secret #4 -- 7:52
Running from the platform in the radioactive liquid to the platform that has the Red Key will cause an Impact Switch in the room to your right to be revealed; quickly shoot it, then head inside the room and enter the room that opened that formerly contained a group of Zombiemen, and quickly head to the revealed switch and press it. That is all you can do in this part. Then make your way back to the teleport at 9:12 and step into it. Immediately turn 90 degrees to your right, lower the wall, press the switch, then get out of the teleport into the hallway and quickly enter the teleport that was revealed by the switch. This takes you to a Red Key-controlled switch which opens a door on either side of you; the right door leads to the Red Key room and exit, and the left takes you to a room with some boxes and a switch in the very back alcove. Hit that and wait for a few seconds...eventually you will see a shiny new Demon Artifact make its way toward you on the conveyor belt. Nabbing this gets you the last secret of the level. Again, this is the ONLY Demon Artifact in this map pack so make good use of that Unmaker while you have it!
