Doom 64: Retribution - Outcast Levels - OUT09: Nebula (Watch Me Die!, 100%)
3At last, we have arrived at the final level!
NOTE: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GRAB THE DEMON ARTIFACT BEFORE THE FINAL FIGHT! If you do, the Artifact vanishes and there is no way of getting it back!
Nothing too otherworldly here in terms of encounters. Hell Knights, Mancubi, you know, typical...wait...spectral Hell Knights...and ANOTHER Motherdemon?! Plus a Cyberdemon in the same area? Talk about going out with a bang! Thank goodness for the Invulnerability secret or else you would pretty much have to rely on infighting to have any chance of surviving this fight!
Well, that's the end of the Outcast Levels! Hope you have as much fun playing through them as I did and still do! I will probably record the Absolution maps next, of which there are only 5 (technically 6, but one of them is more a tech demo than anything else), followed by the main game after that!
SECRETS:
Secret #1 -- 4:30
You can grab this at anytime after exiting the Yellow Key area, but it is HIGHLY suggested that you wait until the final epic encounter before doing so! In the room with the Arachnotron awaiting you immediately after the fight with the spectral Hell Knights, open the panel of wall to the left of the teleport (facing the teleport, that is) for a much-needed Invulnerability!
Secret #2 -- 4:40
Immediately after going to the central area of the final room, head to the door on the right (that the Cyberdemon spawns out of and open the back wall; collect the Health Bonuses along the way and then open the wall you come to at the end to reveal...THE FINAL DEMON ARTIFACT! I wish there was a way to get this earlier in the level, since it's almost useless at this point, but if you try to do so, the item will vanish from the game and to my knowledge, there is NO WAY of getting it back! So if you try to get the Artifact by normal means, you will not be able to get all the Items or Secrets in this level, and what a bummer that would be after all this time! Not to mention needing to take on the two strongest enemies in the Doom 64 universe with a non-fully powered-up Unmaker and your Invulnerability almost assuredly wearing off at this point. You've been warned!
