https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/megawads/italo ...Before we start, I want to preface that, I fucked up big time by not running this 20 level wad on ultra violence as monsters do not appear past map01 and I was confused as to why this happened. So again, into the abyss I go.

Sunlust, Summer of '69, Crumpets, Magnolia, Frog.wad, Swim with the Whales.. All these wads take on unusual names and behind each is.. a world of pain, suffering, masochism, brutality and more.. But what can one say about the authors? Zachary Stephens (Ribbiks) and Daniel Jakobssen (Dannebubinga)? They are masters at their craft at trying to push players out of their comfort zones, Sunlust might be their most famous and beautiful wad together, But it was this 2016 release that I just had to feature.

Released on January 13th 2016, Italo Doom is.. a different beast in many ways from other wads by Ribbiks and Dannebubinga, Italo Doom.. Is almost like having a quad heart bypass, passing a kidney stone, having eye laser surgery, and getting apendicities at the same FUCKING TIME. Italo Doom is far beyond evil, well well beyond what is hard and reasonable... It's...depressing but yet, creative.

What is the name of the game in Italo Doom? ...Death, and pain. I skipped map01 as I wasn't getting anywhere, kept getting murdered by 20+ cyberdemons within 1.4 seconds of loading up the map, Later maps resort to jumpscares of walls falling down with monster behind, Ammo starvation to the next level, and strange puzzles that were giving me major headaches. Sunlust probably led me to think everything that Ribbiks & Dannebubinga is hard, but I was wrong.. Completely wrong, The real hardcore doomers will enjoy Italo Doom.
