Creators of the Doom Community always begin with their first map and it can be a nerve wracking experience. I myself haven't tried to a finish a throwaway map I started in 2022 but maybe someday I will finish it. Its thus I turn my attention this curious release led by Vegeta which is among the most unusual community projects I've gone over.
There was a link as well to the developement of this megawad but the link is long dead.

Released on April 2nd 2007, DooM A Megawad in Two Weeks has 16 levels to its name across 3 episodes. All the maps remind me of late 1990's mapping styles but with enough detail to make them look decent. There's some unique tricks using base game textures or lines/brushes that were a surprise, again showcasing how what may seem simple at first can have the details you don't expect when playing.
