Doom Wads/Mods #567:Five Rooms Of Doom
https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/megawads/5room The countdown has begun, to pain. Comnunity Projects are all the rage today and slaughter maps are all about causing pain while also bringing the player a spectacle that most aren't expecting, so what happens with you put both together but you have a megawad that misses the mark and nails it at the same time? You get Five Rooms of Doom.
Five Rooms of Doom was released on July 16th 2015 and is a 32 map megawad led by Keeper of Jericho. Each level was designed by a author while being locked to only 5 rooms per level. Things you'll notice first is that Five Rooms of Doom uses various styles to piece together each map along with music choices that add the flavor and atmosphere.
The slaughter aspect will only become apparent once map03 is cleared as the influence begins though it can be a hit or miss with some maps having not enough ammo or health to label it close to slaughter. Not a bad effort but it feels that Five Rooms of Doom does the bare minimum you'd expect for a community project.
