Thats where this unique wad comes from, it was given a special mention at the 2005 Cacoawards: What the Hell!?, and I couldn't agree more tbh.
Authored by Rachael Schimitz (Negatronica, formerly known as Shitbag/Shitbag667) and released on May 20th 2005, Happy Time Circus is a single level PWAD that is.. just *fucking* cursed in my opinion. This wad is unlike any horror wad I've seen in a while where its a erie slow tempo feel with custom sky, and no music but when you enter the Happy Time Circus grounds.. things get weird with severed heads, balloons that bite you and more
Just as creepy is Happy Time Circus' map teleport spots that function as a hub so you never know what kind of danger you'll be walking into, The floating clown hell which is based on Pennywise from IT scared the fuck out of me more then once and overall, the wad is just.. creepy. A scary one to play with the lights off.
[[This wad was planned for my Cacoaward special which was season 3, but I never could get it to run correctly on XP and Zdoom so Its only now I decided to go over it. There's a sequel to this wad which will be tackled in a future season, but ooh, Did this one give me the creeps. Took 2 hours post video to figure out and memorize the floating heads as they are instant death]]
