Welcome to Phoenix Point! The organisation that tries to keep humanity alive in a post apocalyptic world! I noticed we can play the game via Microsoft game pass so we do a play through of the game before it is released on Steam.

This episode we have 5 missions that we partake in. 3 Haven defences, a resuce soldier mission and an attack on a Pandoran nest.

For the first Haven defence we are aiding Synedrion with their defence. Sadly I was feeling a little bit under the weather for the first haven defence and the first haven defence really showed that in how I performed. I was dreadfull! I did manage to save 2 civilains and 2 Synedrion soldiers but everyone else died. Luckily none of my own soldiers died either but not for lack of me trying to get them killed! Apparently, fire spreads!

After this mission I went to be bed before continueing my playthrough and its probably wise that I did….

Quikly after this, the 2nd ship is done and we swap the squad from the first mission so they can recover from their wound. We come across a mission to rescue a pair of snipers from Pandoran attack. Sadly one decides to stay in melee range of a Chiron with melee mutation. We dident bring a spatula so we cant scrape him off the pavement unfortunatly. His buddy we could save however!

Synedrion comes under attack yet again again however. And we jump to their aid. I swear, if Phoenix point wasent around; who would do your security? We capture a Siren and gun down the rest of the Pandoran invaders. We are unable to save a Synedrion Infiltrator that was hiding in between the structures that the Pandorans were coming to destroy. Sadly he was to far away for us to save him.

This attack revealed a nearby Pandoran nest which we prompptly destroy. The Pandoran’s take a liking to fire at one of my assaults. This assault however has return fire and he, on his own kills about half of the Pandorans on the map. The 2 hatching sentinels were spread across the map however and I was spelunking through the tunnels at a rather slow pace. I saved you guys the boredom of looking at that, precious little happend between the beginning of the mission and the end where I quikly ended the mission as I was suddenly swarmed.

Before rounding up the episode we do another Haven defence. For New Jericho this time. Im not sure what the AI for the Pandorans was up to for this mission but roughly half of the enemies presented themselves on a silver platter for me. So I thank them for their sacrifice and quikly end the mission. With noone even hurt on the human side! What a nice point to end the episode :)

Phoenix Point is a strategy video game featuring a turn-based tactics system that is developed by Bulgaria-based independent developer Snapshot Games. It was released on December 3, 2019 for macOS and Microsoft Windows, with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 ports are set to released in 2020[1] and for Google Stadia in 2021.[2] Phoenix Point is intended to be a spiritual successor to the X-COM series that had been originally created by Snapshot Games head Julian Gollop during the 1990s.
Phoenix Point is set in 2047 on an Earth in the midst of an alien invasion, with Lovecraftian horrors on the verge of wiping out humanity. Players start the game in command of a lone base, Phoenix Point, and face a mix of strategic and tactical challenges as they try to save themselves and the rest of humankind from annihilation by the alien threat.
Between battles, the aliens adapt through accelerated, evolutionary mutations to the tactics and technology which players use against them. Meanwhile, multiple factions of humans will pursue their own objectives as they compete with players for limited resources in the apocalyptic world. How players resolve these challenges can result in different endings to the game.
