Previously, the party explored the Hazy Heights north of Scrimsley and retrieved the Seeds of Reason. Now, they must give them to Amos in Scrimsley to hopefully stop his uncontrollable nighttime transformations.

After resuming, the party visits Amos in his house (time 1:10). They feed him the seeds, but the results are a bit unexpected. He turns into his monstrous form!

Fortunately, when they approach him, he is in control of himself (time 2:18). He can retain his sanity and transform at will. Unfortunately, the Drackal is out of the bag now! He offers to join the party. Heck yes, we want him along! He'll make a decent addition. At the end of the scene, he rushes off to bid farewell to the townsfolk on his way to the wagon.

The party regains control in his house at the end of the scene (time 4:00). The townsfolk seem pretty cool with Amos joining forces with the party. Of course, they are relieved that he'll no longer be rampaging around town at night.

Anyway, Amos, the Local Hero, has now joined the party at Level 15. He joins with some pretty decent equipment, including a Cautery Sword and an Iron Mask. He has the Heal spell and the ability Megamorphosis. Megamorphosis transforms him to his beastly form, but he is not controllable in this form.

Next, the party Zooms off to Port Haven (time 12:36). There, they burn through some tokens to get Amos a Platinum Mail and a Dragon Shield. He can also use the leftover Edged Boomerang the party has. You're welcome, Amos.

Then, they switch to the dream world and visit Alltrades Abbey (time 13:59). There, Amos takes on the Thief vocation. This will set him down the Ranger path, which requires mastering Thief, Merchant, and Monster Master. Of course, Thief itself is pretty useful since it offers a chance to steal items at the end of battle. Rank 1 Thief is called the Pickpocket.

When this is done, the party switches back to the real world (time 15:35) and Zooms to Madame Luca's (time 16:30). Madame Luca will put the party up for the night. She now suggests they visit Arkbolt, a nation east of Scrimsley. Apparently their powers will be tested there.

Now, time to get underway. The party boards their ship just west of Madame Luca's (time 19:07).

As they sail, Carver reaches Warrior Rank 3, Swashbuckler (time 19:32). Amos learns the Rank 1 Thief ability, Sandstorm.

Northeast of Port Haven, the party makes landfall at hilly terrain east of Scrimsley (time 20:17). It is about as far northeast as one can go in the inner sea. Among the interesting enemies here, there are Goodybags, which drop a lot of gold, and Metal Slimes, which are worth a lot of experience. Decent place for general grinding.

While the party progresses through this area, Milly, the Mysterious Girl, reaches Level 18 and learns Kabuff (time 20:39). Kabuff is a very helpful spell in many boss battles. Fortunately, the Priest vocation learns it at Rank 5.

A little later, Milly reaches Gadabout Rank 3, Night Owl (time 23:12). She learns a new Lucky Dip antic and learns Tongue Lashing.

Just outside Arkbolt Castle, the party has the good fortune of taking out a couple of Metal Slimes (time 23:47). Heck yeah!

At the end of that battle, Ashlynn, the Runaway Teen, reaches Level 12 and learns Kasap (time 24:21). Nevan, the Ghentile Prodigy, reaches Level 16.

After the scene, the party arrives at Arkbolt Castle (time 25:39). Just inside the castle's courtyard, they come across a man pulling a coffin out of the castle (time 26:00). What's up with this fellow? We'll see, eventually!

A sign in the courtyard issues a challenge from the king to those who love fighting and hate monsters.

To the north, the party speaks to the guards in front of the castle doors (time 26:52). Fortunately, they think the party looks 'tough enough', so they let them inside readily. Tough enough for what, though?

The castle's lower level is sort of the town area, with the inn, weapons and armour shops, and church. The shops sell a few upgrades, including the Battle-axe, the Spiked Steel Whip, the Silver Cuirass, the Magic Shield, and the Iron Mask. The Magic Shield will be very good for Nevan and Ashlynn.

Next, the party will explore Arkbolt Castle and see what challenges await here.

Thanks for watching!
