Previously, Ventus arrived in the Dwarf Woodlands. He met the seven dwarfs at their Mine, but they were not terribly welcoming. When he arrived at the Cottage Clearing, he heard a female voice crying out from the woods to the south.

So, Ventus heads south to the Deep Woods (time 0:40). The first treasure chest contains an Ether. The next chest contains a Potion (time 0:55). The third chest near the southern exit contains a Shimmering Crystal (time 1:08).

Then, Ventus talks to the crying girl (time 1:24). This obviously is Snow White. Ventus agrees to escort her to the cottage.

After the scene, it is time for a mildly annoying escort mission (time 2:44). Unversed will attack, as will Treants. When the Treants attack, Ven can defend Snow White with the Square button prompt and then the X button prompt, which will execute White Calm.

During this sequence, Ventus reaches Level 2 and gains a Defense increase (time 4:16).

At the end, Ven will have to use the Goal command to conclude the sequence (time 5:09). As a bonus, he gains a Max HP increase.

Then, Ven and Snow White arrive at the Cottage (time 5:20). While Ven goes to check things out, a familiar septet of dwarfs arrives. When Ven gets back, Snow White relates a terrifying event involving someone Ventus knows.

Ventus then regains control in the Cottage Clearing (time 7:11). The dwarfs and Snow White are available for additional dialogue.

Afterwards, Ven sets up a new deck for the upcoming boss battle (time 8:33). Some long-range Fire or Fira attacks will be helpful, as well as some physical attack commands. Potions and leveled-up D-Links will also be of use.

Once he is ready, Ventus goes back into the Deep Woods (time 9:53). When he arrives, the Mad Treant is blocking the way. This heavy weight has a few nasty attacks. It has firecrackers that it will scatter with its branches. These can be avoided by staying away. It will leap towards Ventus and crash down with a shockwave. The force of its landing will also dislodge fruits that will create poisonous puddles on the ground. Ventus can avoid the shockwave by rolling away or attacking from the air. When it extends its roots into the ground, it will attack from beneath Ventus's current position. Ventus can dodge-roll to avoid these. In time, it may collapse, during which time Ventus can get in a combo or two. When it recovers, though, look out for its stampede. Later in the battle, watch out for the missiles that it shoots into the air from its trunk. Ranged attacks and Fever Pitch will help Ven chop down this evil tree.

At the conclusion of this battle, Ventus will gain a couple of bonuses (time 13:05). He gains increased deck capacity and learns the Firestorm command style. Firestorm activates when Ven uses fire-based attacks.

After the battle, there is a scene in the Flower Glade, the clearing beyond the woods (time 13:20). He meets an elderly lady whom he probably should not be trusting. She has some unsettling words for him.

Ventus then establishes a D-Link with Snow White (time 14:55). Also, he obtains the Treasure Trove Keyblade, which has slightly better Magic than his starting weapon.

When Ven returns to the world map, two new worlds appear for him (time 15:14). The Castle of Dreams and the Enchanted Dominion are now available to him.

However, there is one treasure in the Dwarf Woodlands that Ven could not access before, so he lands at the Cottage Clearing once again (time 16:42). He goes south through the Deep Woods (time 17:07) to the Flower Glade beyond (time 17:27).

In the southwest of the Flower Glade, there is a treasure chest containing a Soothing Crystal (time 19:54).

Back at the Cottage Clearing, Ventus reviews the latest Reports from his visit to Dwarf Woodlands (time 22:56).
