Previously, the party explored the bulk of Arkbolt Castle. They have survived challenges from the guards Bronson, Brick, and Brock. Now, it is time to go speak with the king.

After resuming, they head into the throne room (time 0:35). After speaking with the others, they talk to Arkbolt's King Claymore (time 2:09). The king wants someone to eradicate the monster that has taken up residence in Wayfarer's Pass. It is too strong for his soldiers, so he has been trying to find someone that's up to the challenge. There is one more challenge before he will assign the task to the party: they must defeat Commander Brutus.

Then, the party talks to Commander Brutus (time 4:02). He wants them to meet him in the training room in the castle's southwest corner. The king, the queen, and the chancellor will go along to watch.

But before heading there, the party goes upstairs to the royal bedroom (time 5:09). In the bedroom proper, a chest of drawers contains a Silk Robe (time 6:10). Too bad it's not another Enchanted Armour.

In the southwest corner, the party heads down to the training room (time 7:14). Once they have spoken with the others, they talk to Commander Brutus (time 9:05). The commander certainly is one of the strongest soldiers around. Among his skills is a vacuum vortex, which can strike each party member for over 50 points of damage apiece. He can execute a "powerful thrust," which deals additional damage. He also has Falcon Slash, which strikes twice. He can execute a flurry of blades on all party members, but this is not as damaging as the other moves. He is vulnerable to at least two doses of Sap, but it may take a few tries. It is a good idea to use Kabuff, especially after he uses Kasap on the party. The Staff of Ghent remains an excellent source of healing.

Another scene occurs after the battle is over (time 13:43). Poor Brutus. King Claymore invites the party to see him in the throne room before heading off to Wayfarer's Pass.

Back in the throne room (time 15:45), the Chancellor seems to have a coffin behind him. The party talks to King Claymore (time 16:32). If they successfully defeat the monsters in Wayfarer's Pass, he will reward them with the Sunderbolt Blade, which sounds pretty good. However, he will require proof, so his Chancellor has a coffin that the party can use to bring the monster's corpse back. Sounds a bit morbid.

So, the party talks to the Chancellor for the coffin (time 17:46). However, the swordsman that the party passed on the way into the castle is also going out to slay the beast, and only the first to return with its remains will receive the reward. The king says it would be no problem if the party teamed up with him, but that may not be possible.

Before they do anything else, the party takes a little detour to Madame Luca's (time 19:12). After she puts them up for free, she will reveal her terrifying dream reading: apparently, people have been dying in their sleep. Some dark monster is responsible.

Afterwards, the party zooms back to the vicinity of Arkbolt (time 21:07). They spend the rest of the episode hunting the local wildlife.

After the first battle, Nevan reaches Martial Artist Rank 3, Green Belt (time 22:55). He learns the ability Wind Sickles.

Before long, Carver, the Carpenter's Son, reaches Level 21 (time 24:22).

A little later, Carver reaches Warrior Rank 4, Veteran (time 27:20). He learns the ability Double-Edged Slash, which deals increased damage but reflects some of the damage on the user. Ashlynn reaches Priest Rank 3, Cleric. She learns Fizzle, which mutes a group of enemies, and Buff.

Next, Amos reaches Thief Rank 3, Pilferer (time 28:49). He learns Stone's Throw.
