Previously, the party recruited Amos in Scrimsley and traveled to Arkbolt Castle in the real world. Now, they will start exploring this castle.

They begin poking around after resuming. The soldiers seem to train quite a lot, and the king wants to recruit even more strong individuals, likely because of the monster problem. Killing Murdaw doesn't seem to have gotten rid of the monsters.

North of the castle entrance, there is a guard blocking the path to the stairway (time 5:13). Before he lets them through, he will challenge them to battle. This is Bronson. His dancing move will increase his evasion for that turn. Sap will work reasonably well on him. Using a couple of Kabuffs will cut down on the damage from all his attacks, including Flame Slash and desperate attack. Frizzle and Double Up are both good ways to damage him.

After the battle, Amos reaches Thief Rank 2, Purse Snatcher (time 8:14). He learns the Thief ability Eye for Distance, which can help find the next town.

When the battle is over, the party talks with the man at the base of the stairs (time 9:50). After a few words, he will let the party go up the stairs.

On the second floor, the party descends the stairway in the eastern room (time 10:55). This takes them behind the counter in the armour shop, where they can snag a Slime Gooniform from a chest. This is a chest piece that only Slime monsters can equip.

In the western dining room on the second floor, one of the barrels contains Mini Medal #012 (time 14:06).

The southern exit from the second floor leads out to the battlements (time 14:46). Yes, Milly, the castle's layout does indeed seem complicated. Anyway, from the battlements, the party can check out the eastern and western wings. In the western wing, the northern stairway leads to the guards' barracks.

Down the southern stairway in the western wing, the party finds the training room (time 18:36). The pot in the northwest corner down here contains Mini Medal #013. Yay!

In the eastern wing, the southern stairway leads down to the prison (time 21:07). The northern stairway leads down to an area with a Magic Key door (time 22:01). On the level below, there is a book entitled, 'V is for Victory!' The door down hear leads outside to where the party can access the lost item shop person.

Back on the battlements, the party talks to the guards blocking the northern door (time 23:57). Before they allow the party to pass, the party will have to defeat them both. These guys are Brick and Brock. They have Mercurial Thrust, which allows them to act first in a round. They are capable of covering each other, and they can lower the party's defence with Kasap. They can also raise their attack power with Oomph. Thus, raising defence with Kabuff is a great idea. Sap seems not to work very well on them. Frizzle and Double Up are still good ways to deal with them. A basic strategy is to focus each one down.

At the end of the battle, Heorot, the Village Lad, reaches Level 20 (time 28:03). Also, Heorot reaches Mage Rank 3, Magician. He learns the Mage spell Sizzle.

The party will head in to meet the King of Arkbolt in the next episode.
