DreadOut is often compared to the Fatal Frame series (aka Project Zero or Zero) and for a good reason. You play as Linda, a high school student who is on a trip with some of her fellow classmates in Indonesia. She is awakened by a nightmare that turns out to be a foreshadowing of things to come. In DreadOut your camera is both a weapon to ward of ghostly enemies and the tool that enables you to interact with the supernatural realm.

DreadOut is worth considering if you're into Japanese horror or if you are looking for games like the Fatal Frame series. Is DreadOut any good? This is my take on it. But as always, my review of DreadOut is just an opinion based on my own experience. My judgement is by no means to be taken as absolute truth.
