This is a user map titled West Was Won, and it was designed by Alan Page (if I remember right).

As the name says, it is a western influenced map, where Duke travels through canyons, and a hidden hi-tech base in an attempt to rescue a girl held at the "Sheriff's office".

West Was Won is pretty action packed map where you constantly need to be on your guard, because the encounters include Pig Cops, Enforcers and other enemies - often in numbers, and spawning unexpectedly.

This map resembles a bit E1L5 and some areas of E4L11. While being a linear map, it has lots of variety, underwater areas and backtracking isn't too painful since you've always given an option to backtrack once you've reached a certain point of the map.

It still amazes me how on Earth that Battlelord didn't hit me a single time from that close, and it wasn't the only time it happened. Maybe there was something map geometry or other stuff going on. No idea.

Anyways, West Was Won is an action packed desert / hi-tech map with pretty enjoyable gameplay, although it can be difficult at times. For a more relaxed walkthrough, turn down the difficulty.
