Straight up- I like monsters. Always have, always will.
The Monster Manuals are always my favorite type of RPG books to flip through randomly. The stranger the setting, the more likely the bestiary books will have something cool in them. Woe to those who make a Monster Manual with no pictures though!
Thankfully this book GETS it. Nothing but big and imaginative illustrations on every page. Some look pretty typical. Others are pretty far our stretches of what certain monsters are accepted to look like, and I enjoy this book all the more for taking things in interesting directions.
There's well over a 100+ monsters in here too. I'm not going to spoil them all for you- that's what the book is for!
Like any good Monster Manual, hopefully this is just the first of many! You can never have only one bestiary book!
