Reaper Miniatures: Rediscovering old Legends of the Five Rings figures!
45I happened to come across these models recently and jumped at the chance to get them.
I don't know how they fit into the grand L5R scheme of things. These are all hero models, but I don't think they were originally part of Clan War, which was the big mass combat game set in the Legends of the Five Rings lore that AEG put out. Were these for the RPG? As hero models? I have no idea.
They still look cool years after their release, but they seem to be long gone from Reaper's actual product catalog.
Some sculpts are better than others from the line, but I'm most happy with the masked guys. I enjoy painting samurai in full regalia, so these will certainly have a home on my shelves and tables.
Some day I'll finish up all my Plast Craft terrain and start printing up some more bits to have a proper Sengoku- jidai table!
Plus these work great in games like Brimstone...
