Dwelling Sin | Spooktober: For Whom It Is Reserved | No Failure Run
Just because it's a big release today (that I might've had some hand in), doesn't mean that I'm gonna skimp out on filling the usual schedule. Though, for this one I actually had to do a direct recording. Y'know, 'cause demos kinda suck at the "tracking cursors" bit. I've learned my lesson from the Deus Doom NFR.
Anyways, I know I've played Spooktober aeons ago on a commentated LP sort of thing, but I wanted a map that I'm familiar with to show some of the mechanics here in medium term instead of just relying on a short barely a minute long trailer. I suppose a better option would be to actually do a full run of a spooky mapset, long term stuff, but that'll come later. 50/50 on either running them with HDest or this.
With this being a direct recording, I'm actually taking the opportunity to also show a mod I cobbled up ages ago but haven't actually shown much due to it being a bit demo shy. The Extended Markers mod! Some folks here might've noticed my incessant whining during the BoA LP about not having enough markers to note every important caches in a map (GZD only had like 9). Well, I've done the liberty of attempting to sort out that problem myself! Though, Proydoha helped clean the mod into something more presentable, code-wise. A mod like it'd fit right at home with DSin, no?
I'm also using my dark inventory graphics addon for DSin, figured it'd fit the map theme better than the usual cold metallic look.
