Hideous Destructor | Project: Slipgate 2001 | No Failure Runs | Part 11 FINALE
This last fight here could very easily go bad minute one. I can't just shoot the BFG through the teleporter 'cause it's a single use linedef, so going in right in front of a spider mastermind surrounded by several barons is pretty much the only approach available. Good thing I got the blursphere to position myself somewhat safely. The talismans helped considerably as well.
And that's it for Project: Slipgate, atleast the 2001 version! I quite enjoyed the run. The encounters weren't too bad, no mandatory secrets, and there's variety from the Q2 techbase looking maps to the Q1 classic gloomy temples and castles.
I'm not sure if I'll ever check out the remake version, mainly 'cause like I said, it looks weird unless you combine it with similarly highres mods. Maybe if I manage to tear out the highres stuff and replace it to lowres ones, but that's gonna take a while.
