Eiji Tsubaraya, Master of Monsters!
Fact check- I guess this is out of print and stupidly expensive. My bad.
I got this book as a gift a few years back, having watched the original Ultraman TV series and every classic Godzilla movie with my family a few times through. This book obviously got a lot of love when it made its way home.
An absolutely lovely and informative book filled with tons of behind the scenes photos, Tsubaraya was a major player in the world of special effects and science fiction in not only Japan but all the world over. The things Tsubaraya and his team were able to bring to the screen are still impressive to this day. The man cared about his craft, and it showed.
It's quite impressive how much research was put in to this book. My son used to read a comic biography about him that he would check out from the library and go through both books making sure the information checked out.
At the very least if you can't find a copy of this, go get yourself some Ultraman or Ultraseven blu rays and revel in their fun!
