Einhander (PS1) Playthrough - Hard Mode - Fun Run 1 - Unknown Fighter II With Riot/Spreader
Playthrough of Einhander for the PS1 on Hard mode mode on ps1 with the Unknown Fighter II (Selene). This is one for a series of playthroughs with it where i will be calling "Fun Runs" as i will be using different weapon combinations with the intention of showcasing then. These fun runs are also "No continues" runs as well .In this run i will be using the Riot alongside the Spreader. The Riot is a very unique weapon in Einhander as its the only weapon where you can charge by holding the appropriate fire button and releasing it will fire it unleashing a Electric Discharge that varies with range depending how many shots you use per shot with a maximum of 7 ( the charges dont increase its damage so even releasing it at one is still the same power). The Electricity can pierce multiple enemies and uniquely it can destroy most enemies cores from inside out completely ignoring any armor plating they might have. One thing you will notice is that if you hit the core of a boss with the Riot, you will see a animation of a electric discharge around it. This is not just for cosmetic purposes as this Shock is doing extra damage to the core through their armor in a indirect manner. The Riot cant destroy the core of bosses by bypassing their armor ( with the exception of Drache the first true boss of the game) but it can damage then to the point where their core will have 1 HP left after multiple Electric discharges so after destroying the armor plating around it, one hit from anything is all it takes to finally destroy it afterwards. Because of the charging nature of the Riot, this weapon is not that good against a constant assault of multiple enemies during stages. This is where the Spreader comes in with its Shotgun style shots, its ability to shoot backwards and the insane damage it can dish out at very close range to destroy the plating of bosses around their cores and from some enemies as well. Hyperion is the only boss where the Riot cant destroy quickly thanks to its damage gating it has against damage that surpasses a certain value ( which is why the Juno completely destroys it as its very rate is ridiculous). During the run i will stick with those weapons for pretty much the entire run. If the Riot gets destroyed and i know no replacement will come in a while i just blow myself up to start with it again. Another thing that i love about the Riot is how satisfying its sound effect is while fully charged further emphasising its power. I was thinking of using 2 Riots but its very nature makes it a liability once you reach Stage 4 so i used a better combination that compesates for its weakness.
