Another update for the future of Antergos, EndeavorOS 2021.08.27, was released. Check out the news and find out where to download the distro.
Endeavor is an Arch Linux-based distribution that is considered to be a continuation of Antergos, a system that was recently discontinued.
The development team emerged from developers and members of the Antergos community.
Now, the EndeavorOS Linux distro has a new ISO release, EndeavorOS 2021.08.27, to give you an up-to-date installation medium in case you want to use Arch Linux but don't want to go through its complex installation process.

The new ISO version comes with a much improved Calamares graphical installer that allows you to install EndeavorOS with the Btrfs file system using a subvolume scheme by choosing automatic partitioning, the ability to store and transfer Wi-Fi credentials to the installed system , as well as a better user experience by unchecking unnecessary packages in the selected desktop environment.
Furthermore, the installer has been enhanced to allow users to choose a Linux LTS kernel during installation, as well as to select or deselect the EndeavorOS theme when choosing the Xfce desktop environment or i3 window manager in the online installer.
It also supports parallel downloads, which makes the entire installation process much faster.
Also, the installer will no longer crash when during the boot process on initial boot, it will no longer show a black screen when booting to some hardware when choosing a desktop environment or window manager that uses the display manager LightDM, will handle mirror lists better, and will now fetch packages from the EndeavorOS repository instead of GitHub.
The new EndeavorOS ISO version also features a new app called EOS apps info (eos-apps-info) or EndeavorOS apps info, which, as the name suggests, is an app that presents users with information and manuals for all the apps on EndeavorOS repository.
However, EOS application information is not installed by default, so you will have to install it with the command yay -S eos-apps-info.
In addition, there are loads of new wallpapers contributed by community members, two new mirrors in France and Singapore, a latest kernel from the latest and greatest Linux 5.13 series, as well as all the latest software and security updates from Arch Linux Repositories.

This distribution uses the development model known as Rolling Release, which means that existing users will receive these updates from the same operating system, and so will be for life.
