0The Stari Most (a.k.a Mostar Bridge, The Old Bridge) was destroyed on the 9th of November 1993 exactly 4 years to the day after the fall of the Berlin Wall which was the beginning of the end of Communist Rule in Eastern Europe which in turn contributed to the collapse of Yugoslavia.
A War Crimes investigation found that as the Bosniak forces were using the bridge as part of a military supply line it was a legitimate target and so no charges were brought against the Croat forces in this case.
