one of things i'm vaguely trying to improve is planning and executing routes for larger maps. i've also wanted to poke at eternal's work for a while, so why not start with one of his earlier wads?

this level, uh, isn't exactly particularly big. more of a tone-setter than anything else; more indiana jones than space marines. it also introducing the fun recolors of some of the monsters. it's not shown in the video, because there's no particular reason to go in there, but there's a bobbing effect to the water too. as long as you're reasonably deft with the chaingun though, the traps shouldn't sting too badly. blow away the two revenants guarding through the exit and it's off to the real adventure.
