kicking things off in episode 3 in moonblood with another great map. although this one takes quite a bit more scrambling than we've seen in moonblood so far. other than the stuff you can bum off a hitscanner, the actually good weapons are scattered around in various inconvenient locations. this route starts by grabbing the super shotgun which immediately drops you into a pit with a pain elemental in your face and a bunch of other stuff floating around. this is one of those cases where you can just pin it in a corner and quickly finish it off though. then we wrap around the far side to grab the plasma and rocket launcher, which is greatly simplified by having the super shotgun (the original route i used did this in the other order). it's not possible to easily leave either - some things will have to get cleared out before you can go back. then jumping in the slime pit spawns a whole ring of arachnotrons - deadly without getting some better weapons first. from there it's mostly cleaning up the remaining enemies, including the whole basement area. there's one beefy encounter left after the blue key door though - save some cells and get rid of the chaingunners asap.

i am starting to record these things at an alarming pace... so i'm going to try and push them out a little faster.
