Backbiting, manipulation or triangulation, intimidation and lies, deception, or experiencing cliques within the family, can all lead to relational trauma or complex PTSD.
Most people believe that complex PTSD is ONLY the result of a specific and one time traumatic experience -- such as sexual abuse -- that is hard to escape from.
But the reality is that complex PTSD can also be the result of years upon years of family turmoil, abuse, neglect, high conflict, and mistreatment.
