For quite some time I've talked about my love of 3D printing on the channel. I generally use it to make storage racks, LED signs, and other things to enhance my game room. But what if I could do something to enhance my printer? Well, that's exactly what I just did as I 3D printed something every Nintendo fan would if they could.

I own two Bambu Labs printers, a P1P, and a P1S. One of the major differences between the two is the P1S comes with an enclosure that helps keep temperatures consistent so you can print more exotic materials such as ABS or TPU. While no enclosure is included, you can print your own thanks to instructions on the Bambu website or from models the community has put out as well. Ever since I saw the Super Mario question block enclosure, I knew I needed to do it and I finally have.

I used yellow Sain Smart PLA+ for most of the outer part of the enclosure, and Kingroon white for the white components. I got everything printed out which I had to do in five or six different batches as the components are too large for any one of my printers. Once I got all the parts and pieces printed, I had to insert threaded holders that I could screw into. This was a bit of a challenge, but thankfully there were hints and tips online that made it a little bit easier.

To print the components took about 25 hours, and a spool and a half of filament. Assembly took another 2 hours or so, but the results are amazing. I not only have a Super Mario question block now as my enclosure on my P1P, but it will help regulate the temperature a little bit better than having it completely open frame. Granted, the front is still open as is the top, but it's going to retain a little bit more than it used to.

I literally think this is one of the coolest things I've ever 3D printed. Let me know your thoughts on the model and how it turned out in the comment section.
