Part 2. So this is the Dreamcast version. I emulated it on RetroArch and it started a bit rough but evens out eventually. The game is a mixed bag. The infinitely spawning enemies is not my favorite, but you can farm the for items like ammo, health and gas. The first half of the game is a bit more open and then the back half is very, very, very linear. So you're kinda are playing 2 different games. I honestly don't dislike either. Each offers something. You start out collecting these mushrooms that are all over the place. Eventually you find some books that explain how to turn them into health and gas. It's really freaking great and mushrooms seem to infinitely spawn. You get a few weapons throughout the game. The chainsaw is you good melee weapon, but it requires gas. Fortunately it's fairly plentiful. You also have a few guns, like a pistol, shotgun and rifle. I mainly used the chainsaw to attack most regular enemies and saved the ammo for bosses. Though the chainsaw seemed pretty effective against bosses as well. In the first half of the game it can be a bit hard to find progress since you actually need to explore everywhere and some items are really well hidden. The last half is super easy and constantly is giving you supplies. The last boss caused me some issues since I thought I had tried to use my chainsaw and it just never made contact so I thought it was immune. It seemed near impossible to whittle its health down with just shooting. I had an okay time with this. It's cool because it has Bruce Campbell, the story is also fun. The downside is the gameplay can be a bit lackluster and frustrating. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
