Before getting into the first forced encounter, optimize Freya, Vivi and Zidane in that order, give Vivi a Cotton Robe, Zidane a Mythril Vest and Germinas Boots, and Freya Germinas Boots and Mythril Gloves, activate Man Eater for Zidane and Freya and put them both in the front row.

Utilizing an older strategy to avoid forced EXP, Zidane is guaranteed to make a Soldier escape when he attacks, and Freya is a 2 out of 3. If Freya does 465 to a Soldier, Quina can attack and hope for a low roll to make her run. Criticals will kill and force a reset, but they can happen.
