Hilgigars is the first of many fights where we need Lucky Seven's 7777 to make fights much faster. It's the best, and faster replacement for Quina's Limit Glove since we don't have access to that anymore.
The setups from the previous segment ensures that Eiko consistently deals 18 damage to Zidane, setting him up for Lucky Seven. Zidane not having an armlet on increases the chances he will actually get hit, as with the Ritual Hat opposed to a Bandana. Vivi will be using Drain to finish off Hilgigars to skip his death animation, as he just disappears saving some seconds! Dagger with the Robe of Lords can survive anything.
Everyone except Eiko needs to survive for AP but let's assume she does...
Key Abilities Learned: Zidane - Auto-Potion
Dagger - Ability Up, Silence, Auto-Potion
Vivi - Stop, Insomniac
Eiko - Loudmouth
Everyone should now have the tools necessary for the dreaded Iifa Tree coming soon.
After the fight, get the remaining two colored stones and the Ether and make your way to Madain Sari to advance the plot. It's only a short walk.
Once you have control, head to the entrance screen and back for the mandatory ATE. Just mash through the text and choices for Eiko's dinner, as it means nothing for the plot or rewards. Before going to the Eidolon Wall, get Dagger first as this will save a small amount of time. Then head to Eiko's house for dinner, then have Zidane help with the dishes LOL.
After a small chat with Eiko, try to leave her house. During the night, a short scene with Vivi and you will be at the entrance in the morning. Just save as soon as you get on the world map so you don't lose all of your progress. It happened to me once!
Now for the other toughest segment in the run, the Iifa Tree!
