British and French paratroopers have been training to deploy together on operations around the world.

Colchester-based 16 Air Assault Brigade and the French 11 Brigade Parachute Regiment are involved in a fictitious scenario off the West Coast of Scotland, in case they have to deploy together at short notice on contingency operations.

It is part of Exercise Joint Warrior, the largest multi-national military training exercise to take place in Europe this year.
