It's F-Zero time, the master racing game, one of the best Nintendo franchises!
This game is pure awesome. It's not the best in the series though, F-Zero X is the best one, it's addictive and got a better soundtrack by far. This game here, it's one of the key Gamecube games you can play, it's really a must have. Most people get infuriated at this at first, not understanding how it goes... and then they start to memorize the experience, and see that there is a pattern styled gameplay to these tracks, and they sort of start doing it and get addicted to this because the speed is OUT OF CONTROL BRO.
So this got a really good gameplay, really cool characters, amazing graphics that still holds up which is unbelievable for a Gamecube game at this point, a good soundtrack which is just a bit inferior to F-Zero X and amazing options to play it. The only things really missing from this one is that it sadly got a bad Multiplayer, for some reason you can only race against each other or maybe in a Grand Prix, I don't remember... it'd be nice to see too more of the combat mechanics in this game be the selling point, because I love these mechanics when they're added, I like to play a bit dirty on the road right?
The other thing that's kinda bad for this F-Zero game, is that you constantly have to go and do Grand Prix in order to collect coins to beat stages in the story mode. This gets a bit aggravating, and I think that dates the game a little, because many games of this time like Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe and the likes were trying to force you to collect massive points so you could finally unlock things which is... OK, if not exaggerated. Here they kinda exaggerate this.
But alas, it's a fun experience, F-Zero is always one of my favorite Nintendo franchises, and I always love playing this really. Such a shame it's not as popular as other franchises, especially in the west, it used to be very popular in Japan as well. I remember one of my first Nintendo games on a Super Nintendo was the original F-Zero too, so seems like I'm one of the few that loves this series a lot.
