F1 2014 (2014) - Every PC F1 Game
F1 2014 by Codemasters, 2014.
F1 2014 was a somewhat low point in the series, as it didn't particularly add much new, and instead removed the classic content seen in F1 2013. Comparing this video to F1 2013, there's hardly any difference in the scenery/lighting/etc.
I would say though that driving in the rain feels very intuitive in F1 2014 (and presumably future Codemasters games too), with the steering going light when you start to slide/spin.
There was probably a good reason F1 2014 was a "treading water" release, as F1 2015 was being built for the next generation consoles, and much changed on that one, as will be shown, later in this playlist!
1. Race Start (Monza): 0:00 Pretty much identical to F1 2013.
2. Spray Effects (Silverstone): 0:39 Again, hardly changed from F1 2013, apart from cars and logos around the track. The late arrival of spray effects still happens here.
3. Tunnel & View (Monaco): 0:57 Monaco at last had the Yacht Club de Monaco build added after the tunnel (on the left, blocking the view!). The building was in place in 2013 but didn't open until Summer 2014.
4. Wet Track (Spa-Francorchamps): 1:14 Spa in the wet is identical to F1 2013.
5. Pitstop (Interlagos): 1:35 F1 2014 has the ability to switch off the cinematic pitstop camera, but then you're just locked in-car for the whole pitstop. The pitstop animation of the car seems more flickery and jumpy than in F1 2013.
6. Huge Crash (Montreal): 1:49 The reduced crashes (not easy to flip, and you either get disqualified and/or go transparent in a big accident) continues from F1 2013. Not a very satisfying wreck (and that was after many attempts!).
