Sprint Qualifying at the Circuit of the Americas for the United States GP is over and Max Verstappen in the Red Bull is back on pole position for the first time in a while as Red Bull look like they have potentially fixed some of their issues which had plagued them earlier in the year. Mclaren have brought a raft of upgrades but it is not clear yet if they have actually hurt Mclaren in terms of the balance as Oscar Piastri went out in Q1 and Lando Norris is down in 4th place and they have work to do if they want to beat Max Verstappen.
For Ferrari things are looking great as they have not brought any upgrades but they are looking strong as Charles Leclerc beat Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz is starting right behind Norris and Mercedes are also looking strong as George Russell was so close to sprint pole position but will settle for second and teammate Lewis Hamilton could have got pole but a mistake meant that he is starting in 7th place for the sprint race. Circuit of the Americas is the race that brought F1 back to the United States in 2012 and has been a massive success as it looks to now be the home of F1 in America, The circuit produces fantastic races year in and year out and has become a modern classic over the years. The circuit is punishing on tyres and can be very bumpy.
