Las Vegas is over and Max Verstappen in the Red Bull has become a 4 time world champion as he has more than enough points meaning that Lando Norris in the Mclaren can no longer catch him but there is still a fight to be had in the constructors championship as Mclaren and Ferrari are going down to the wire and F1 in Qatar will see the return of the sprint weekend for one last time meaning that the teams and drivers have just one practice session but can they get the setup right or will anyone do what Red Bull did in Vegas. Max Verstappen is world champion again and I think Lusail will be a strong circuit for Red Bull at least with Max. Teammate Sergio Perez has a lot of work to do if he wants to get a top 5.
Mclaren should also be strong so Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri should do well. Ferrari will likely be the third strongest team and Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc will be fighting again for top spot in the team, I do think we might see Charles Leclerc take a power unit penalty.
For Mercedes I don't think they will be as strong despite dominating in Las Vegas, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton had a fantastic race but I wouldn't be surprised if they work the tyres too hard in Qatar.
Qatar returned in 2023 and is a high speed, high tyre wear circuit, it is the penultimate round of the season and things are closing up between Mclaren and Ferrari so expect them to be closely fighting for the constructors championship.
